Montrejeau
The town of Montrejeau, 2 minutes drive from the house, has a selection of restaurants, cafés, and bars, and has all the needed services like post office, banks, teller machines, supermarkets, gas stations, health-care services, travel agency, etc.
There is a small lake just outside the town, where you can rent pedal boats during the summer.
Close to the lake there is a Golf course and a public swimming pool.
There is an open market every Monday, in which you can buy local products.
The Mountains
The Pyrenees Mountains range offers a wide selection of summer sports like hiking, mountain biking, white water rafting, climbing, and more.
Some of the highest peaks are within an hour drive.
In winter the mountains provide over 20 ski resorts with easy access to Andorra. The resort of Peregudes is just 35 minutes drive away and provides excellent skiing for all levels.
Spain
The Spanish border is only 40 minutes drive. The Val d'Aran area is known for its ski resorts and hiking trails. Changing the French cuisine with Spanish Tapas is within a day-trip range.
Hot Springs
Some of the towns in the area like Bagneres-de-bigorre and Luchon, have natural Spa centers, where you can relax and get a good massage or bathe in hot spring waters.
Historical sites
There are also many buildings of historical interest and beautiful architecture in the local vicinity.
The medieval town of Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges is just 15 minutes drive from the house.
Longer Trips
The beach at Biaritz on the Atlantic coast is about two hours away where you can Jet Ski, surf and paraglide.
